For a long time, I struggled to balance my career ambitions with my desire to be a present mom and care for my family.
With two young boys and a computer science degree from Georgia Tech, I began my professional life as a Software Engineer. The crazy hours weren’t great for me or my family. So I left the nice salary for a job with more flexibility so I could care for my children.
For 10 years, I worked from home and taught computer classes to kids through CompuQuest. I became a PTA and a sports mom. Seeing my kids grow up meant so much to me. As they got older, I began to consider a new line of work.
I met another parent at a local sports tournament who told me about the world of real estate. He was very successful, and I figured I could be, too. I got my real estate license and began working for a ReMax team, learning the ropes to becoming a successful Buyer’s Agent.
Again, I found myself missing my kids’ lives. I didn’t realize how busy I’d become. I loved real estate, but my kids needed me, too. I shifted careers once more, starting a job in medical sales with a lot of benefits for my family. But I knew one day I’d return to real estate when it made more sense for my life.
We moved to a home on Lake Lanier several years later, the perfect place for my family’s adventurous spirit.
Boating, jet skiing, zip-lining—you name it, I may have tried it.
I befriended another realtor in our church’s small group. A peaceful and exciting feeling came over me and I knew it was time to jump back into the game.
So, I entered the real estate market in North Georgia, started Smart Real Estate, and haven’t looked back. When I’m not serving clients, I travel to new places with my husband, sometimes on the back of our motorcycle. We dote on our grandkids, volunteer in our community, dine with friends, and love to get comfortable on the couch and watch movies.
My life has taken many turns, all of which I’m grateful for. Without them, I would have missed out on time with my family and the clarity of what was most important in each season.
It would be my honor to help you embark on your next adventure, too, with the sale and purchase of your home.

I would highly recommend Angie!
"Angie was able to sell our family-owned lake house on Lake Lanier within a few months of listing it. It had been on the market for several years with two other agents. She is a no-nonsense person who is honest, forthright, and provides you with excellent service and communication. She was able to negotiate the process to a successful conclusion! I would highly recommend her!"
